About the Niseko Rules
Our guided tours in Niseko are conducted in accordance with the "Niseko Rules," so please be sure to review them.
1. You must always exit the ski resort through the gate.
2. Do not ski outside the ski area by going under the ropes.
3. Outside of designated ski areas, we believe that wearing a helmet and carrying an avalanche transceiver are the minimum requirements for safe skiing.
4. Do not leave the ski area when the gates are closed.
5. You must never enter restricted areas.
6. Elementary school students are prohibited from skiing off-piste.
〈Note〉
1. A fee (minimum 100,000 yen) will be charged for search and rescue operations outside the ski resort.
2. Violators of the above rules may be denied access to the ski resort, including confiscation of their lift tickets and suspension of sales.
3. Accidents often occur during severe weather conditions, such as blizzards. Do not overestimate your knowledge, skills, or equipment. Always exercise caution. Follow the instructions of the patrol. Be careful of falling into crevasses and colliding with trees. There is no such thing as 100% safety in the mountains.
4. The Niseko Avalanche Information is the official source for the region, and the Niseko Avalanche Research Institute uses its own methods to predict the day’s avalanche danger.
5. We strongly recommend that you carry an avalanche beacon, probe, and shovel. In an emergency, these tools could save not only your own life but also the lives of your companions. - word of mouth
