What is Wakkanai Park?

Wakkanai Park, located on a hill in Wakkanai City, Hokkaido's northernmost town, is a park that symbolizes the northernmost point of Japan.
The park is known for its spectacular view of Wakkanai city, Soya Bay, and Sakhalin, and there are many monuments to peace in the park, such as the "Ice and Snow Gate" and the "Monument to the Nine Maidens".
Lush greenery from spring to fall and lavender and azaleas in bloom during the summer months make it a popular stopover for strolling and driving.
